On-site Support and Installation

We understand that having reliable ICT is a critical part of the service delivery within your school, be it in the office or the classroom environment. We are able to offer you a team of highly competent and suitably qualified ICT practitioners, who have considerable experience of providing and supporting technical solutions within the schools service. The team are able to supply, install and support a full range of ICT hardware and curriculum software at competitive prices. We offer technical advice on ICT solutions taking into account the use and development of information technology in the education sector. Our software and hardware support service includes access to our own specialised workshop and the services of our partner suppliers.

We offer a choice of two service types for on-site support. There are two packages for ad-hoc packaged support (school office only or whole-school) and two packages for scheduled visit support (whole-school only). These are designed to meet your requirements for either the classroom or admin network and systems.

ALL packages described below include access to the Schools' Service Desk, the cost of the SIMS Annual Maintenance licence, Sophos Anti-Virus and Remote Backup of either office (100GB data) or curriculum data (500GB data) depending upon the level of cover purchased.

What we offer:

  • Ad hoc Break-Fix Support
On-site visits are as a result of calls logged with ICT Schools' Service Desk, this service being included in all packages as described below. The two packages offered are School Office Support - on-site ICT incident response for all school office system, hardware and software including SIMS and Whole-School Support – as above, but to include all systems in the school both school office and curriculum networks
  • Scheduled on site visits (Formerly Platinum/Diamond)
Note, these packages include all 'Whole School' services as described above.
Based upon a preventative support service, geared to help keep your ICT service in a healthy state and minimise the risk of 'downtime'. Each  3 hour visit is attended by the same regular engineer wherever possible. In the first part of each visit the engineer will undertake essential house-keeping duties, e.g. checking that software patches and security updates have been applied,  the remaining time is allocated for the school to use as required (including small scale, time limited, installations). The two packages offered are for either three or six such visits per term, though bespoke levels of service are available if required by individual schools. The on-site incident response service for high priority break/fix calls is also included in this service.

Costs:

All services are priced annually and according to the size of the Primary, Secondary, Special or other school type, depending upon the number of pupils on roll in the school. For this purpose, Special schools are classified as a small Primary school.
