Governor Learning and Development

We provide school governors with a flexible, value for money, central and school based learning and development programme which takes account of the statutory/legal requirements and national/local initiatives. We welcome input from governors to ensure that the programme meets the requirements of governing bodies.

What we offer:

Unlimited access to an annual programme of central learning and development courses designed to equip governors to undertake their strategic, monitoring, evaluation and accountability roles.
2 places at the annual governors' conference per governing body.
Support from a commissioning officer to identify 4 hours of school based training relevant to your school.
Unlimited access to e-learning development opportunities for governors.
Access to the Induction Programme for new governors and the Taking the Chair programme for governors taking on the roles of chair or vice chair.
Ongoing support for training co-ordinators including training guidance and telephone advice.
Termly briefings for governor training co-ordinators.
Support to identify, plan and deliver governing body training needs and with completion of the annual governing body self review document.

Costs:

Full package: Unlimited access to the specially developed governor training and development programme using a range of delivery methods. The package includes 2 places at the annual governor conference and more than 2 places may be offered to schools, on request, subject to availability.
Up to 10 governors/associate members.	£520
Up to 15 governors/associate members.	£783
Up to 20 governors/associate members.	£1,040
Pay as you go: All of the following elements are included in the full package but are also available on a pay as you go basis.
Central training course - 2 hour sessions.	£88 per person
Central training course - 3 hour sessions.	£134 per person
All day national induction event (minimum of 6 hours) including lunch and refreshments.	£263 per person
School based training course - 4 hours provided as part of the full package. *Price per governing body - including up to a maximum of 25 participants for a 2 hour session.	£370 per course*
Annual Governors conference - 6 hour session. * For Governing Bodies purchasing the full package who wish to purchase additional places, this rate is reduced to £60 per delegate.	£88 per person*
Unlimited access to Modern Governor E-Learning package.	£268 per annum
