Education and Training

This service provides access to a comprehensive range of education and training facilities, products and events that are essential to the effective use of ICT in school.

All ICT training is provided by experienced and skilled practitioners. It is available through a termly training programme delivered at training venues in West Bridgford (Nottingham) and Edwinstowe, or on-site in your school or academy.

Comprehensive advice and guidance (and e-learning materials where appropriate) is provided for a variety of areas including: One County One Network (1C1N) applications and services, SIMS academic and FMS end of year procedures and statutory data returns using SIMS (including School Census and School Workforce Census).

Schools will be entitled to a 15% discount on all scheduled training events and on-site consultancy delivered during the period covered by the support contract.

What we offer:

• An extensive range of e-learning materials available to all staff in school and based on our core SIMS training courses and 1C1N applications and services
• 1 place per primary or special school/academy and 2 places per secondary school/academy on the annual FMS end of year seminar, the SIMS academic end of year seminar and the SIMS Assessment and Data Return seminar
• On-request access to an experienced trainer to discuss and analyse your school or academy’s ICT education and training requirements
• Advice and guidance (and e-learning materials where appropriate) to support major SIMS changes and upgrades

Costs:

All services are priced annually and according to the size of the Primary, Secondary, Special or other school type, depending upon the number of pupils on roll in the school. For this purpose, Special schools are classified as a small Primary school.
