Catering Advisory Service

We recognise the choice schools have over service provision with some opting to let their contract to the private sector or manage in house, rather than buying into an Authority managed service.

Providing these services effectively is not just about serving a meal. There are a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience required in managing our services to schools.

Therefore we offer advice and additional services to schools so that you can ensure the service runs smoothly throughout the year.

We offer independent audits and checks, advice on letting and managing contracts, along with advice on specialist areas of catering and facilities management.

What we offer:

• Monitoring of catering provision and compliance with the Government's national nutritional legislation.
• Advice on kitchen planning and maintenance.
• Advice on legislation and compliance e.g. food safety, health & safety, preparation for EHO visits.
• Training and development for employed onsite staff and can provide Food Safety training for school employees if required.
• Recruitment advice.
• Advice on health and safety legislation and compliance.
• Advice on letting and managing contracts including: designing specifications, analysis of alternative provider documents, and production of tender document.
• Advice on school food provision e.g. breakfast clubs.
