Conserving the Built Environment - Key Stage 2 Geography

Title:
Conserving the Built Environment - Key Stage 2 Geography
Author:
Nottinghamshire County Council
Description:

A geography scheme of work and resources for key stage 2.
This pack teaches children to look at and understand a local area, which could be their own. It also gives them the chance to be involved in planning and understanding changes in that area.

The six-week scheme of work and resources:

  • is focussed on 'a locality in the United Kingdom'
  • covers all the objectives for knowledge, skills and undestanding in the geography programme of study for key stage 2
  • develops citizenship, through emphasising co-operation, negotiation and taking responsibility for decisions
  • provides a contrasting and varied study area.

The activities in the scheme of work can also be applied to any locality that has buildings from different periods in history.
