Careers advice and support for 16- to 18-year-olds

Job clubs

We run a network of weekly job clubs which take place across Nottinghamshire, offering support and advice to 16- to 18-year-olds concerned about their future career choice.

The scheme offers advice to young people on:

  • developing their CV
  • learning interview skills
  • boosting their confidence.

Where and when the job clubs take place

Ashfield

Sutton-in-Ashfield

  • meets at the Eastbourne Centre, Station Road on Tuesdays from 1 to 4pm.

Hucknall

  • meets at NCN College, Portland Road on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm.

Bassetlaw

Worksop

  • meets at Worksop Library on Memorial Avenue on
    • Mondays from 1pm to 4pm
    • Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm
    • Fridays from 1pm to 4pm.

Retford

  • meets at the Retford Young People’s Centre on Spa Lane:
    • Mondays from 1pm to 4pm
    • Tuesdays 1pm to 4pm
    • Thursdays 1pm to 4pm.

Harworth/Bircotes

Broxtowe

Eastwood

  • meets at Eastwood Youth Centre, Derby Road on Thursdays from 2pm to 5pm.

Stapleford

  • meets at My Place, Westfield Lane, Mansfield:
    • Mondays from 1pm to 4.30pm
    • Wednesdays from 1pm to 4.30pm.

Newark and Sherwood

  • meets at 20 Balderton Gate, County Offices:
    • Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm
    • Thursdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Boughton

  • meets at Dukeries Young Peoples Centre, Main Road on Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm (bottom of College Drive)

Rainworth and Blidworth

  • meets at Rainworth and Blidworth Children’s Centres - sessions by appointment:

Rushcliffe

West Bridgford
