Two people on a sailing boat

Sailing
Sailing is all about the wind, the water, the boat and you. Boats can be sailed single handed, as a pair, or a group of five can go out with an instructor in a Cornish Coble.

Canoeing
Often called “Canadian” canoes, these each take two people who use a single bladed paddle. They are reasonably stable (not much chance of falling in), and great for teamwork and communication.

Kayaking
Kayaks are for one person who has a double bladed paddle, they are a little unstable (more chance of falling in), but can be quickly mastered.

White Water Rafting
This takes place on the artificial white water course at the National Water Sports Centre. Eight people paddle the rubber inflatable raft (steered by a qualified helm), down the rapids of the course.

Bell Boating
The whole group can get in a bell boat, which is paddled by the crew with single bladed paddles and steered by a helm (the instructor). They are very stable, and great as an introduction to watersports.

Raft Building
We supply the poles, barrels, rope and buoyancy aids. You must put it all together to be able to stay dry, and paddle across the water.

Wet Multi
A combination of all the wet activities at the Mill, great for a taster session.
