Joint Health Scrutiny Committee
The County Council and Nottingham City Council have set up a Joint Health scrutiny committee to look at health issues that effect the conurbation of Greater Nottingham. This includes:
- Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
- Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
- Nottingham Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Nottinghamshire teaching Primary Care Trust (tPCT) where it effects the conurbation.
There are 8 County Councillors on the 16 member Joint Health committee (the County Council and Nottingham City Council have eight seats each.)

Responsibility for the management of the joint committee alternates between the County Council and Nottingham City Council based on the municipal year.
The City Council has been responsible for the joint committee during the 2007-08 municipal year. From April 2008 the County Council will take over responsibility.
Meetings are usually open for the public to attend. Further information on each of these meetings, including time and venue, can be found in the Council Diary.
From May 2008 - April 2009 meetings will be held at County Hall, West Bridgford.
