Satisfaction surveys

The Council is required to find out about public satisfaction every three years. The most recent survey was carried out by Ipsos MORI between September and December 2006.

Key findings from the 2006 County Council survey are:

  • 74% of residents are happy to live in Nottinghamshire
  • the Council-subsidised bus service scored the highest satisfaction in the whole country
  • 46% of residents are satisfied with the way that the County Council runs things, a decrease of 1% from the last survey
  • 72% of residents feel that the local area is a place where people from different backgrounds get on well together
  • the main worries regarding anti-social behaviour are parents not taking responsibility for their children and teenagers hanging around on the streets
  • satisfaction with the way the Council handles complaints is among the highest in the country.

The full County Council results [PPT 1469KB] Powerpoint logo detail every aspect of the survey and provide an in-depth analysis of public attitudes across the county.
