Race and Disability Schemes
The Race Relations Amendment Act 2000, Disability Discrimination Amendment Act 2005 and the Equality Act 2006 have impacted on all public bodies including local authorities.
In 2007 we combined the race, disability and gender schemes into a single equality scheme, which will also describe how we eliminate discrimination and promote good equality practice in respect of age, religion and belief and sexual orientation.
Our archive of equality schemes includes:
Race Equality Scheme 2002 [WORD 1.1MB]
(Please note this is a large file and may take some time to download).
Race Equality Scheme 2006 [PDF 828KB]
Disability Equality Scheme [WORD 484KB]
