The three-step solution to getting your problem solved.
- Know what you are entitled to. To find out, look at the information sheets for consumers or contact a consumer adviser.
- Put your complaint in writing to the trader.Outline the problem and what has been done so far to rectify it. Specify your requirements and give a deadline for a response from the trader. We suggest ten days from the date of the letter. (See our sample letters to help you get started).
- If a response is not received, or if the response is unsatisfactory, contact a consumer adviser for further advice or make a complaint online at www.consumercomplaints.org.uk.
