Community development
Who we are and what we do.
The Community Development Team promotes active and sustainable communities by supporting local groups and projects. Our aim is to help as many people as possible so that they can make things that happen in their local area.
As well as supporting and working with local groups and organisations, a lot of community development work is carried out with other partners. This includes:
- Community Safety & Regeneration
- Social Enterprise support
- Adult and Community Education
- Community Safety
- Strategic Partnerships
- Volunteer Bureaux
We support many community initiatives such as Building Better Communities, Extended Services, Children’s Centres and Neighbourhood Policing, and have also assisted with an international project.
