Great Notts Bike Ride Volunteer
Come and help make our event a success
Each year we rely upon volunteers to donate their time to help make the day a success and over two hundred volunteers come out and support the Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride!
The event in 2009 raised around £50,000 for the benefiting charities: Cerebral Palsy Sport, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Rainbows Children's Hospice and When You Wish Upon a Star.
What is involved?
- assisting with the setting up of the route and site
- assisting in handing out a goody bag riders a to riders at the end of the ride at the National Water Sports Centre
- directing riders along the route
- congratulating and encouraging riders as they pass by
- assisting with the clearing up of the site and route after the event.
All volunteers will be given a briefing from the key marshal supervising their section of the route where they will be provided with emergency contact numbers and a high visibility vest. Each volunteer will also receive a packed lunch.
