Seat Belt Campaign
Do it Up!
Your seatbelt can save your life - and the County Council is running a campaign called “Do it Up” which reinforces the importance of wearing a seatbelt, wherever you are sitting, every time you get into a vehicle.
Take a moment to look at the video which supports the campaign.

Did you know that in a crash, whatever the cause, you are 4 times more likely to be seriously hurt, or possibly even killed, if you are not wearing a seatbelt.
Young men under the age of 31 feature highest of all casualties amongst non seatbelt wearers. So if you are in this age group it is even more important to ‘Do it Up’ and remind your friends to do the same!
And just as a reminder:
- Drivers and passengers over 14 are responsible for themselves and must by law, wear a seatbelt. Drivers are responsible for anyone under the age of 14.
- It is just as important to wear a seatbelt in the back as well as the front
- Children are especially vulnerable. Ensuring children are properly ‘strapped in'
- Even if you are exempted from wearing one, you may be just as vulnerable in an accident.
