The Stapleford Shopper

May 6th marks the start of an exciting new era when the County Council begins using its own buses to benefit the fare paying public.

Service 111 - The Stapleford Shopper, is a well used local route which carries many older and less mobile passengers. It will now be linked to existing social care transport in the area and will bring to the route the benefits of the latest design easy access buses.

The drivers have been highly trained in customer care, NVQ Level 2 and first aid. They are also MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) trained.

By operating the service with our own vehicles and drivers we can ensure that the highest standards are maintained. This approach also saves the extra expense of hiring in a contractor for this public service.
