Social care workforce strategy

The new Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy 2008/10 is now available.

This is the first time that a workforce strategy has been developed covering the whole adult social care sector in Nottinghamshire. The partners involved in creating the strategy include Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire Health Community, the independent and voluntary sectors and Skills for Care.

The next step is for all Nottinghamshire County Council service areas to implement the strategy. based on the key priorities already identified. Support and guidance will also be offered to independent sector providers to help with their workforce plans. The implementation of the workforce strategy will help to achieve better outcomes for all adult social care service users and carers in Nottinghamshire.

The strategy, and the outcome of the implementation plans , will be launched to service users and carers at an event to be held in November 2008.
