Working in Adult Social Care and Health is challenging and rewarding. We help meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

What skills and qualifications are needed to work in Social Care?

If you want to help us provide services to vulnerable people in Nottinghamshire there’s a job you can do helping others. The qualities you'll need include:

  • interpersonal skills
  • compassion
  • dedication.

Qualifications are not necessary as we will help and support you towards achieving a National Vocational Qualification.

There are a wide variety of positions in Adult Social Care and Health although the majority of vacancies we have are for care assistants working in residential homes (e.g. for older people), vacancies exist throughout the county.
