Introducing Putting People First to service users and carers

The first service user and carer event on Putting People First was held on 9 December at Mansfield Civic Centre.

Councillor Alan Rhodes gave the opening address, and other speakers included programme director Paul Mckay, a service user and a carer. The aim of the event was for people to learn more about Personal Budgets and to give their views and explore issues around Self Directed Support.

Staff roadshows

A series of roadshows for Adult Social Care and Health department staff took place during September and October. They introduced staff to the Putting People First programme and looked at what it will mean for peoples roles and responsibilities. They were an opportunity for staff to ask questions and discuss important issues.
