Unlocking the Potential of People in the Workplace

The Supported Employment Programme at Nottinghamshire County Council recognises the value that all members of the local population can make to the workforce and economy of the area.

It will work on everyone’s behalf to ensure that diversity is incorporated into the workforce in a way that is beneficial to the employee, the employer, their customers and the community.

Our key focus will be to ensure that every person should have an entitlement to:-

• Be included as a valued, respected and equal member of the community.
• Have access to the necessary training to enable them to perform the work they wish to do.
• Have access to the necessary support systems to enable them to gain access to the workplace.

Through education and interaction with key employers in the local community, we will increase the openness and responsiveness of the existing employment market to people of all abilities.
