Holidays for disabled people

Outdoor education and adventure activities

These can be arranged on a residential or daily basis. They are for Day Centre or Resource Centre users. These events are for people who have no access to adventure activities, to encourage social and personal development.

Activities include:

  • sailing
  • canoeing
  • white water rafting
  • climbing.

They are held at:

  • Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre, Nottingham
  • Girton Sailing Club, near Newark
  • The Mill Adventure Base, Sutton-in-Ashfield
  • Rudyard Lake, Staffordshire.

Most activities are provided free of charge. You can apply to the scheme directly, but you must be an existing Day Centre or Resource Centre user.
