Mental Health Day Support Services
What are day support services?
These services help people with serious mental health difficulties, aged 18-65 to maintain and develop independence. The services take place in a number of different places including day centres, people's homes and local community venues.
What sort of help can I get?
We can help you with:
- developing social skills and contacts
- building confidence
- skills for managing mental health difficulties
- how to access education, employment and training
- how to use local facilities
- getting advice and information.
Where are they based?
Day support services are based from four centres across the County:
- Beeston Day Centre, Nottingham area
- Boundary Resource Centre, Worksop area
- Rokerfield Resource centre, Mansfield area
- Newark.
Whenever possible we would encourage you to make your own way. However should you need transport we will arrange it in our own vehicles.
Is there a charge for day and community support services?
There is a charge for transport (currently £2.00 a day). We will carry out an assessment to see whether you need this service.
Snacks and lunches can be purchased in the centres.
How do I get day and community support services?
Referrals are taken by each centre from mental health professionals, usually CPA Care Co-ordinators. If you would like further information, please call the centre in your area.
