Deaf/deafened people

Our specialist team members understand the issues surrounding deafness. One of them is deaf and all of them can sign.

We can:

  • give advice and information to deaf people and their carers
  • help with worries
  • loan specialist equipment to you
  • help you get other services that the council provides.

There is a wide range of other local and national organisations that provide advice and support to deaf/deafened people.

Losing your hearing?

We have another page that gives advice on what to do if you think you're losing your hearing.
