Information on how you can become an adult placement carer supporting adults with learning difficulties in your home.

What is the Adult Placement Scheme?

The scheme recruits and approves ordinary people as carers. These carers provide support to adults with a learning disability, providing opportunities for them to share their home for short or long stays. Sometimes the carers will offer community based support.

The Nottinghamshire Adult Placement Scheme is run by our Adult Social Care and Health Department. It is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and meets Legislation and National Minimum Standards.
