Events and Displays for the South Area
Throughout the National Year of Reading, each month will have a different theme and across the county, events and displays are being held which relate to these themes and celebrate the enjoyment of reading.

December - Writing the future

Classics - Alice Through the Looking Glass: 7pm
6 December - Cotgrave
Dr Who Day - Come and meet a Dalek (timed ticket required) and other Dr Who themed activities
6 December - East Leake
Writing workshop, everyone welcome: 10.00am-12.00pm
6 December - West Bridgford
Santa's workshop: 9.30am-3.00pm
Songs and craft sessions: 10.15am-11.00am and 2.15pm-3.00pm
8 December - Beeston
Reading Cafe - Christmas books to share - swap a book: 10.30am - 12.00pm
12 December - Ruddington
Launch of Reading Cafe: 10.00am-12.00pm
13 December - Cotgrave
Library fun day. Official opening ceremony at 10.30am, Mad Science workshop for 8 to 10 year olds and parents/carers: 11.00am-12.00noon (tickets available from Cotgrave Library)
16 December - West Bridgford
Christmas carols and readings: 7.30pm
17 December - Beeston
Christmas carols sung by local school children: 9.30am and 2.00pm
19 December - Cotgrave
Christmas readings - share and enjoy some seasonal readings and refreshments: 10.00am-12.00pm
