Reading Cafe

Looking for a new author?

Would you like to talk to other readers over a cup of coffee about the books you've enjoyed?

The reading cafe is open at Arnold library every Wednesday from 10.00 am - 12.00 pm:

  • a different theme each month
  • special events on some dates
  • bargain book box
  • mystery parcels for the more adventurous readers
  • refreshments available - 35p
  • discussions take place in the Library exhibition area from 10.30 am - 11.30 am.

The reading cafe is open at Beeston library on the second Monday in each month from 10.30 am - 12.00 pm.

24 September  Bring along and talk about your choice of book by a contemporary Nottingham fiction writer - Jon McGregor, Elizabeth Chadwick, Stephen Collishaw, Matt Haig, Tom Cox, Nicola Monaghan, John Hervey, Eve Makis, Clare Brown......

Please feel free to bring along books that you have enjoyed to any of the themed discussion sessions.  We are always keen to hear about your favourite authors and titles and to get recommendations for new ones.

8 September  Come along and share your opinions of true crime or horror stories – bring books you have loved or hated.

The reading cafe is open to everyone and it's free.  There will also be guest speakers and authors with us at some sessions.
