The Summer Reading Challenge 2011 has now ended
We will post information for the 2012 Summer Reading Challenge activities and events in due course.
Roll Up! Roll Up and Be a Circus Star this Summer 2011!
The 'world famous' Summer Reading Challenge opens on July 16 2011 at a library near you!
The challenge, aimed at 4-12 year olds, is to read 6 or more books over the summer.
There are:
- special rewards to collect
- online games and quizzes
- scratch n sniff stickers (one smells of rabbit poo)
- special events in libraries
- and for those who complete the challenge a certificate and a gold medal!
All libraries will be taking part. It's all FREE so there is no excuse not to join in the fun!
What do I need to do?
- Go to your local library
- If you're not a library member, why not join - you can even do it online!
- Register for Circus Stars
- Borrow and read 6 books over the Summer and collect rewards from your library
It's that easy!
Circus Stars Events
Several libraries will have special events featuring storytellers, stilt-walkers and clowns.
