e-Payments FAQ's
The following Questions and Answers have been designed to help you when you make
your payment online. If however you have a question about our e-payments service that has not been answered
then please e-mail us on: enquiries@nottscc.gov.uk 1.
How secure is my transaction?
Answer:
From
the initial screen, through to the collection and authorisation of your payment card, every stage of
your transaction is fully secure. All aspects of the payment process are handled by HSBC Bank.

Will I get a receipt for my payment?
Answer:
Yes.
You can either print off the confirmation screen at the end of your transaction or make a note of your
transaction number.
3.
How quickly will my payment be credited to Nottinghamshire County Council's account?
Answer:
You
should allow a minimum of 3 working days after making your on-line payment for our records to show your
payment.
4.
What do I do if I experience problems whilst attempting an online payment?
Answer:
You
may need to allow your internet browser to “Accept Cookies” – Our payment facility needs to have the
“Accept Cookies” feature switched on. This can be achieved by following the
instructions below: - for Microsoft Internet Explorer:
On
the browser window go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy and set the sliding bar to Medium.
- for
Netscape: On
the browser window go to Edit, Prefences, Cookies and click on "Accept all Cookies".
This
in no way affects the privacy or security of your personal or financial information.
5.
What if I am unable to get into the e-pay pages? Answer:
Some
older versions of Internet Explorer do not support the security procedures that are used to protect
your information. If this is the case then you will not be able to enter your details with us or make
a payment. This protects your security. If
you experience problems and you are using an older browser please follow one of the links below to download
either Microsoft or Netscape encryption software that will enable you to make a payment to us.
