This event brings the sights, sounds, emotions and excitement of Britain's wartime years vividly to life in an exciting and authentic weekend re-enactment.
Visitors can mingle with army, navy, air force and civilian personnel, all in period dress. You may even spot 'Winston Churchill' or 'General Montgomery'!
Watch the Home Guard and regular army troops on manoeuvres, see an armoured car, mounted trooper and visit an air raid plotting room. Laugh at the 'Mr Punch versus Adolf Hitler' puppet show, and keep an eye out for 'Viv the Spiv'.
Join in your favourite wartime songs at the concert party, and watch the period dance displays - or even have a go yourself. There will be demonstrations by the girls of the Land Army, plus tips on how to "make do and mend" to make your rations go that little bit further! Browse real period artifacts for sale in the 1940's market. This lively event has plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
