Way Out Fest
Rufford Country Park, Ollerton
Saturday 5 - Sunday 6 May 2007

Way Out Fest is Nottinghamshire’s antidote to the Village Fete. This lively, family-friendly weekend at Rufford brings together those familiar fete attractions – from hoop-la to the coconut shy – and turns them upside down in a weird and wonderful celebration of all things creative. You'll be surprised, thrilled and amazed by a host of offbeat turns from street theatre performers and musicians and there are lots of opportunities to join in the revelry yourself.
Look out for…

And listen out for …
Feisty post-punk folk from Wholesome Fish, a drumming spectacular from Wall of Sound, Comedy skiffle from Kick ‘n’ Rush, burnished brass from Thoresby Colliery Youth Brass Band, Calypso sounds from Steel Magnolias, barbershop harmonies from the Special Blend Quartet and Strolling Dixieland from Riverboat Days.
There’s more…
Artists’ stalls selling fine jewellery, ceramics, glass and textiles and a rich mix of communitv stalls from beekeepers to woodfirers and scrapstores to Ecoworks. And if all this activity gets you hungry then why not drop in to our farmers’ market, offering a range of the finest local produce, from freshly-milled flour to venison burgers.
The fun starts at 10.00am on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May. Admission is free (a car parking charge applies).
