- You can also view current vacancies which are updated daily at the national SAN website: www.secureaccommodation.org.uk For a more informed discussion ask to speak to the ‘Duty Manager’ on the above number. The duty managers with be either:
- Thirza Smith: Centre Manager
- Norman Chessman: Deputy Manager
- Jenny Monk: Deputy Manager
What we expect of placing authorities
- To keep in regular contact with the child (at least a visit every two weeks), and to chair or attend monthly reviews of the placement.
- To give 7 days notice when ending the placement and to provide financial commitment for the period of any unplanned discharge.
- To secure a resettlement package including education and residency at the earliest opportunity (NB: In all cases no longer than three months into placement or within a month of discharge which ever is the shorter period).
- To provide financial support for clothing needs, and provide reparation costs for any damages to the centre costing over five hundred pounds.
- To support family visits financially or practically on a fortnightly basis at the very least.
- To promote work to enhance family relationships and resolve previous trauma/abuse.
