Parent and carer forum

The SEN and Inclusion Strategy Review is committed to eliciting the views and experiences of parents and carers of young people with SEN needs in Nottinghamshire. These views are integral to establishing the initial themes to be put forward to consultation in April 2008 and the final report, to be published in July 2008.

In order to obtain these views, a parent and carer forum has been established by the project team and Parent Partnership Service (PPS) with. There are five meetings scheduled between November 2007 and July 2008, held at various locations in the county, alternating between daytime and evening timings, to help ensure accessibility for as many parents and carers as possible. Any childcare and travel costs incurred are reimbursed fully on the day of the meeting.

The Review is also holding a series of district consultation events in April 2008. These events are an opportunity to present the initial themes that have emerged for further investigation to our key stakeholders, and to receive any further feedback on these themes.
