Early Years Strategy
Nottinghamshire County Council conducted consultation on its Early Years Strategy during January 2006.
This Early Years Strategy has been developed according to the overarching Children's Services Plan of the Nottinghamshire Children's and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership and is an intrinsic part of the national Change for Children agenda. "Early Years" is used in this context to mean children from birth to five years of age.
Multi-agency consultation workshops were held on 6th July and 19th October 2005, which devised the local vision, principles and priorities for early years services in Nottinghamshire.
The wider consultation enabled all stakeholders in the field of early years services to further contribute to the strategy by:
- Giving their comments on the strategy overall; and, where appropriate,
- Making their commitments to develop their services in order to meet the challenges and the desired outcomes of the strategy
