How did we consult on our Children and Young People's Plan?

When we were writing our Plan, we wanted to make sure that those who would be affected by it had a say. This includes children, young people and families as well as our workforce, who are the people who will make sure we achieve our plan. We gathered views from at least 1600 people in different ways, including:

  • group discussions with children, young people and families from a variety of backgrounds
  • conferences for our workforce
  • formal requests by letter to our statutory partners
  • an online questionnaire open to anyone with an interest in our Plan
  • discussions at meetings of partnership groups, including the Nottinghamshire Children's Trust Board, the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board, and the Nottinghamshire Young People's Board.

These people's views helped us decide what would appear in the final version of our Plan. We also gave the consultation feedback to each Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) children and young people's sub-group to use in local planning.

Our Vision

We will work together to provide integrated services for all children and young people in Nottinghamshire to improve their life chances and to help them maximise their potential.
