Situated in the village of Hathersage in the heart of the Peak District National Park, the centre caters for children from primary and special schools.

Hathersage lies on the River Derwent and a network of footpaths radiating from the village make the surrounding landscape of wood, moorland, streams and rivers easily acessible.

Hathersage:

  • sleeps up to 38 people (34 children and 4 staff)
  • 7 dormitories sleeping 2 to 10 people
  • guidance for schools in their programme of activities
  • public transport, bus and train, to Hathersage
  • Bookings accepted by schools, walking groups, family groups etc
  • Sole use of the Centre; large hall with kitchen,dining and recreation areas.
