Help with childcare costs
Nottinghamshire Families Information Service (FIS) can provide information about the help available to cover the costs of childcare.
Working Tax Credit
Did you know that some parents can claim £4 out of £5 off their childcare costs?
The childcare element of Working Tax Credit can help with up to 80% of your childcare costs depend on your income - the lower your income, the more tax credits you can get.

Employer Supported Childcare
Did you know that your employer may offer childcare vouchers?
The vouchers work by offering some of your salary in exchange for help with your childcare costs. This gives you the first £55 a week of vouchers free from tax and National Insurance.

The Free Childcare for Training and Learning for Work scheme is aimed at out of work parents, over 20 years of age, who have a partner in work. It provides up to £175 per child per week to help with childcare costs while the parent trains and develops new skills.
If you're under 20, the Care to Learn scheme could pay up to £160 per child per week towards your childcare while you're learning.
Childcare Support Scheme
Nottinghamshire County Council also has their own Childcare Support Scheme which could cover up to 70% of your childcare costs for up to 26 weeks. Eligibility criteria applies.
