The Nottinghamshire AST Management Team
Nottinghamshire is committed to the strategic recruitment and deployment of ASTs as an integral part of the School Improvement Agenda. ASTs are deployed in schools in all settings across the Local Authority and their expertise and insights have been evaluated exceptionally highly by schools and individuals accessing their support.
ASTs also work closely with National Strategy Consultants and School Improvement Advisers to generate a coherent delivery arm for Continuing Professional Development for staff at all levels of experience.
The recruitment, training, support, deployment of ASTs is a key part of the work of a number of LA officers who form the AST Management Team. In collaboration with other local and regional AST partners, the AST Management Team works to promote and the AST role as the leading edge in learning and teaching and effective curriculum reform for the 21st Century.
