Thinking skills resources
Thinking skills are a key feature of learning. This site has been established by Nottinghamshire ASTs to help teachers develop strategies to encourage thinking.
It is based on work done by ASTs in two ‘Leading in learning’ National Pilots. This project now forms a whole school initiative within the National Strategy.

To use the site:
- Choose the thinking skill [Word 86KB] you want to develop and choose a subject.
- Read the simple guidance for your chosen strategy
- Follow links to look at examples of work in different subjects.
- Contact us! If you have any queries please email cpdweb@nottscc.gov.uk and a member of the AST Team will get back to you.
Have you prepared a thinking skills lesson that has worked well for you and that you are prepared to share?
If so please complete the attached form [Word 35KB]
