<p>The Nottinghamshire Children's Trust (previously Nottinghamshire's Children and Young People's Partnership) is committed to improving the lives of children and young people by ensuring that Nottinghamshire is a place where they can all achieve their full potential. </p>
<p>Our Children and Young People&#8217;s Plan describes how the members of the Nottinghamshire Children's Trust will work together to improve the lives of children and young people in Nottinghamshire.</p>
<p>Our Plan describes how we will plan our work around all five of the outcomes for young people set out in the <a href="http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/childrenactreport/" > Children Act (2004)</a>:</p>
<ul><li><b>Being healthy - physical and mental and emotional well-being</b></li>
<li><b>Staying safe - protection from harm and neglect</b></li>
<li><b>Enjoying and achieving - education, training and recreation </b></li>
<li><b>Making a positive contribution - the contribution made by them to society</b></li>
<li><b>Achieving economic well-being - social and economic well-being.</b></li></ul>
<p>Our Children and Young People&#8217;s Plan is the foundation of our shared planning to continue improving how we work together. The publication of a Children and Young People Plan is a legal requirement for all Local Authorities together with their partners under the Children Act 2004.</p>
