We need foster carers who are able to make a commitment to provide a long term placement (ie into adulthood) for a young person aged 14 years and over.
Are you:
- Home-based?
- Able to provide a young person with a room of their own?
- Good at listening and problem solving?
- Energetic and committed to supporting young people?
We are looking for individuals who have significant experience of working with or caring for other people’s children, preferably teenagers, in a professional capacity or as an experienced foster carer.
In return you will receive:
- £200 per week plus regular weekly fostering allowances
- A full pre and post approval training programme
- 24 hour support.
14plus carers, whilst approved to foster by Nottinghamshire County Council, are not employed by the Local Authority. Effectively your status would be self-employed, consequently you will be responsible for making your own arrangements in terms of Income Tax and National Insurance contributions. Certain Tax exemptions apply.
