About the service

The Temporary Employment Register is a long established service which provides skilled temporary staff to all departments of the County Council and other selected clients.

Temporary opportunities with Nottinghamshire County Council fall within the clerical and administrative areas. The assignments are temporary and could be from one week to a maximum of 12 weeks duration.

As allowed in law by the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, we do not have an open-ended retirement procedure for existing employees and have retained a normal retirement age of 65, subject to six months notice. To ensure that we treat existing and new employees the same, the maximum age we can recruit new staff is 64 and a half.

Enquiry form - important note

Due to the current job market, we are experiencing unusually high response levels and have subsequently closed access to the enquiry form on a temporary basis.
