Waste Site Specific Proposals
The waste Site Specific Document will identify, where possible, suitable sites for future waste management to meet the requirements and objectives set out in the Waste Core Strategy.
Whilst allocated sites have a presumption in favour of development, they do not in themselves grant planning permission. This must be obtained in the normal way and if the detailed planning application is unable to satisfy the environmental protection and other policies in the Core Strategy planning permission may be refused.
Current Progress
Preparation of the Site Specific Document has not yet commenced. The document will be prepared jointly with Nottingham City Council.
The current approved timetable and any subsequent changes to it are set out in the Minerals and Waste Development Scheme. Once adopted, this document will replace the remaining parts of the Waste Local Plan.
Please Note: Following recent changes to Government guidelines it is no longer clear whether a seperate site specific document will be produced. This is because strategic sites may now be included in the Core Strategy. Further updates will appear here.
