community archaeologists Andy Gaunt and Emily Gillott, with Clare Pickersgill Nottingham University Archaeology museum curator, and Sue Rodgers Community Conservation Projects Manager, at the Nottinghamshire Renaissance Heritage Awards 2009. Short listed for Heritage Award.

The Community Archaeologists and Nottingham University Archaeology Museum were short listed for an award at the Nottinghamhire Renaissance Heritage Awards 2009.

The awards were presented by Renaissance East Midlands and the Nottinghamshire Museums forum.

We were shortlisted in the 'Best event' category, for a family archaeology day at the university archaeology museum held in the spring. The short-listing put us ahead of a number of other events at some of the best known museums in the county.

Staff were particularly congratulated for once again providing the event free of charge and in their own time.
