Introduction

Climate Change is caused by the release of Greenhouse gases – primarily CO2. In order to halt the changing climate the government has set a target of a 60 percent reduction of CO2 by 2050. Although by cutting down on the energy we use will help to reduce CO2, it is obvious that further initiatives such as renewable technology will be needed. We can all play our part whether through installing our own ‘green energy’ schemes or simply by switching to a renewable energy tariff.
