Bentwood Chair-making Two Day Workshop

An unmissable opportunity to make your own hand made bentwood chair at the enchanting Hanwell Wine Estate near Melton. This 2 day workshop hosted by inspirational John Hollis will introduce you to the tools and techniques required for this traditional woodcraft. Working alongside a small group, John will demonstrate how to hand-craft hazel, bending and cutting it to form a stunning garden seat. All materials will be provided and the workshop includes a scrumptious two-course homemade lunch served with local wine. At the end of the two days you will have created your own bentwood chair to take home with you. Alternatively, we can arrange to deliver your chair locally if transport is a problem. So as the summer months approach, you can look forward to sitting in your garden enjoying a glass of English wine sitting in your very own hand crafted bentwood chairs made by you !
