A wonderful introductory beginners 1 day weaving workshop held at Hanwell Wine Estate. Weaving is a satisfying versatile hobby, create table mats, wall hangings, purses and handbags from materials like ribbons, plastic, string, boucle or rovings (unspun wool). The workshop is a sociable introduction to frame weaving and includes a homemade 2-course lunch served with local wine. All necessary materials for the day will be provided, so just bring yourself! Your teacher Veronica Skuriat will take you through material choice, demonstrate a variety of looms and guide you step by step to create your first woven item. Veronica will demonstrate, explaining the techniques you need for your first project, working with your selected material. As you weave, Veronica will be there to guide you step by step and offer advice on an individual basis.
