Apply now for financial support for club development.
Clubs can apply for one or more of the club development categories on the same application. Three categories of funding are available:
- Sports Participation
The Sports Participation category is for sports clubs who are looking to run projects that aim to increase participation or diversify its current membership. The club will be required to hold club accreditation or demonstrate it is actively working towards gaining the award. A maximum award of £1,000 will be available.
- Volunteering Development
The Volunteering Development category is for sports clubs who are in need of developing its volunteer workforce. Clubs who are looking to train volunteers to become qualified officials can apply for a contribution towards the overall costs. The club will be required to identify need and receive an endorsement from its Governing Body. The club will also need to identify deployment opportunities for the individual(s). A maximum award of £250 will be available for Volunteering Development.
- Coach Bursaries
The Coach Bursaries category is for clubs who are in need of developing its coaching workforce. Clubs who are looking to train individuals to become qualified level 1 & 2* coaches will be able to apply for a contribution towards the overall costs. The club will be required to identify need and receive an endorsement from its Governing Body. A maximum award of £400 will be available for Coach Bursaries.
*higher levels may be considered depending upon the need and requirement of the sport/club.
General eligibility for funding
Applications to the Sports fund will only be accepted from clubs or individuals* who are based within Nottinghamshire (clubs or individuals who are located in Nottingham City are not eligible to apply). The club or individual must also compete in a sport that is recognised by Sport England and be affiliated to a National Governing Body that is also recognised by Sport England or a national disability sports organisation.

*Please note applications from individuals will only be accepted for the Talented Athlete strand. Applications to the Club Development categories must be completed and submitted by a sports club.
