Get into the festive spirit with fantastic events for the whole family this Christmas across the County. You can visit Santa at Sherwood Forest and Rufford Abbey Country Parks, enjoy Christmas meals and take part in craft activities.

Sparkling Sherwood

On 5-7 December see Sherwood’s ancient oak trees in a whole new light, literally, as we invite you to take a walk through the illuminated forest – a truly magical start to winter and a memorable experience to treasure. See Sherwood sparkle.

Santa's Grottos

Take your young ones to meet the man himself at either his traditional Victorian style grotto at Rufford Mill cottages (from 15 November) or in his medieval grotto in the heart oSherwood Forest (from 21 November). Visits to the grottos cost £5 per visit including a small gift.

Sherwood Forest Country Park - Forest Table Restaurant some fine festive merriment in the home of Robin Hood.
