Celebrating clay for 20 years!
This year saw the 20th anniversary of Earth and Fire - one of the country's premiere ceramic events. It took place on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June 2014 at Rufford Abbey Country Park.
Over a hundred potters from across the UK and Europe came to sell direct to the public from outdoor market stalls in the ancient abbey ruins and grounds.
This annual event attracts collectors, gallery owners, enthusiasts and the general public alike, who flock to Rufford to meet and talk to the potters selling everything from garden planters and sculptures, to bowls, pie dishes, teapots, mugs, plates and egg cups.
Entrance to the fair is free however there is a parking charge of £5 per car.

Indian Inspiration by Pollie and Garry Uttley
The work of ceramicists Pollie and Garry Uttley will be featured in an exhibition in the gallery durng the event. Both Pollie and Garry will be in attendance throughout the weekend and will be happy to speak to visitors about their work and travels.
Pollie and Garry Uttley first visited India in 1995 and were immediately overwhelmed by the sheer visual overload they experienced. Since then, almost annual visits have reinforced the inspiration for their ceramic work.
Their exhibition opens with Earth and Fire and continues at Rufford Gallery until 27 July 2014.
