The Mill Adventure Base
The Mill Adventure Base is a purpose built, urban adventure centre situated at Kings Mill Reservoir, Sutton in Ashfield. The base offers a multitude of adventure activities to suit all abilities and requirements.
The Mill offers a mixture of land and water activities suitable for year 3 pupils and above. On land we offer team games, a low ropes course, outdoor and indoor climbing walls, a Jacob's ladder, a maze of underground tunnels and mountain biking. On the water you can try raft building, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, sit on kayaks, disability sailing or inflatable fun.

The Mill offers wide a range of activities including archery, indoor climbing wall, kayaking, mountain biking, sailing and many more!
They also run fun packed, adventurous activity clubs:

About The Mill Adventure Base
The Mill Adventure Base is located in Sutton in Ashfield, which is in central Nottinghamshire with great road and transport links to the rest of the county.
The centre is purpose built to allow the young people of Nottinghamshire to access outdoor and environmental education experiences, with fantastic facilities for both water and land based activities and an ambition of being accessible to all.
The centre is available to any groups based in Nottinghamshire wishing to use the centre from charities, family groups, church organisations - in fact any group wanting to do outdoor activities. The Mill Adventure Base provides groups with a qualified outdoor tutor to lead on adventure activities and help with the organisation and planning of the day/course. Other instructors can be supplied by request to tailor a programme to your aims and budget. Other groups can also access this specialist input to experience a range of exciting outdoor activities using the moors, rockfaces reservoirs and caves that surround the centre or further a field in the Peak District National Park.
These activities include climbing in our indoor climbing wall or on the nearby gritstone edges, canoeing on the reservoir or down a Scottish river, trying our artificial caving system to caving in the White Peak, orienteering in the local woodlands, hillwalking in the Peaks, abseiling (including Millersdale bridge), gorge walking, mountain biking, high ropes and a host of problem solving exercises,and environmental activities around the grounds
The Mill Adventure Base is an AALS registered centre and an accredited centre for the British Canoe Union, Royal Yachting Association. All staff are nationally qualified and experienced enthusiasts with a passion for sharing their knowledge and expertise.
