Schools Forum Governor Vacancies
There is a vacancy on the Nottinghamshire Schools Forum for a Governor Representative. Nominations are sought to fill this vacancy as soon as possible. Self-nomination is allowed.
The Government requires that each local authority maintains a Schools Forum to consult with and advise on matters relating to school funding. The term of office of the person elected will be for three years.
The commitment necessary from the successful candidate is likely to involve 5 meetings per year, usually at the National Watersports Centre together with whatever ‘constituency’ work the candidate thinks will be necessary to ensure that he/she adequately represents the interests of the schools represented. Meetings of the Forum take place during normal working hours and generally last 2 hours.
To be eligible for election, the nominated person(s) must, at the date of the election, be a person on the governing body of a Special, Academy, Primary or Secondary school.
